AmeriCredit complaint
I got an auto loan from Long Beach Acceptance in October. I have recently found out that Americredit now owns my lein.

I tried to contact Americredit every way I can come up with ! I can't get anyone on the phone or e-mail!

All I want to know is why they say that I'm 2 months past due on a $480.00 month payment !

Since I have finally been able to get in touch with them ,it has gotten worse !

I am stuck with the status of my loan and have to pay 2 payments AGAIN !

If you are considering this company.....DON'T !

They are no more than loan sharks ! In fact it would be better to get involved with loan sharks. At least then you would know what to expect !

Mike

I am going to agree with fuzzy navel on the fact that you signed it you pay it. i needed a new car they loaned me the money. was i happy with the rate no..but when everyone else said no...they said yes...i make sure my car note is in my budget and i pay it on time...i am working to clear up my negative credit so that i can refinance and get out of the higher rate but in the mean time it is working for me

Sam and Grace,

Stop feeling sorry for yourselves, and take care of your bills!!! Trust me, I know what you might be going through. Just 2yrs. ago, my credit score was 437!!! Did I point the finger at the creditors? No. I put myself in that mess. It was my fault that I thought cars were more important than managing my finances. I'm working my tail off in order to turn my credit around.

Life isn't fair. When bad things happen, we have to be able to deal with it the best way we can.

:cry

Dear Fuzzy Navel;

Life happens. Maybe you never had a death in the family or severe illiness in the family. Sometimes you can't live by a budget. Not everyone has an extra $1,000 laying around to pay if they did they would have no problem. So mind your own business.

Keep in mind Americredit will treat you bad before you pay it off or after.

Dont come in here and tell people that might not be able to pay on time everytime that you are better than they are. You dont know anyones circumstances. Fuzzy navel? Why dont you go have another one. Americredit ***, yes they give loans to people, but they dont care if you can really afford it or not- they want your down payment and your late fees. Oh and Big Johnson, your sarcasm does no good here. Someone is coming to complain to a place that is made for complaining, and you are the one being an ***. You people have no compassion. I pay my payment, not on time, and not more than a few days late but gimme a break!! I dont need 15 calls to tell me that I am late. They have and will get their money.

Dont come in here to try and make the people that came here for an outlet to vent feel like they are some kind of crook when the *** bank shouldnt have given the loan or whatever - You dont know these people or what they are going through so stop judging.

Ridiculous.

in response to fuzzynavel. couldnt have said it better myself. it doesnt matter what name the company has, americredit, drive time, carmax. its all the same and you agree to the terms and conditions when you sign the contract. when you first buy a brand new vehicle everything is great, you have shiny new car. then a few years later the paint is faded, the engine knocks, you wife left you, your dog died, your being sued by the irs. and at that point there is only 2 people you can blame, 1. your finance company for loaning you money when no one else would and who doesnt repo your car because you've been more than 3/4 of your loan between 30-80 days past due. or 2. blame yourself because its really your fault. well i hate to say it but 9 out of 10 times you are not going to blame yourself because that is just outrageous and stupid. i mean really when i got fired from my job it wasnt because i called in all the time or showed up late all the time or cussed out my boss. no. it was americredits fault for loaning me thousands and thousands of dollars for a vehicle when no one else would. you a@#holes

I've been with AmeriCredit for 18 months now. I make my payments on time every single month. I also pay an extra $1,000 with each payment, so I can pay it off in 3/4 faster. I have never had any bad experiences with AmeriCredit. They even send me a courtesy e-mail about a week before the payment is do.

They aren't the bad guys. And no, I don't work for them. I just carried through on my promise to pay them. They gave me an opportunity when Chrysler Financial said no.

My advise is, PAY YOUR BILLS ON TIME!!! SET UP A BUDGET AND LIVE BY IT!!! AMERICREDIT DOESN'T OWE US A THING!!! WE SIGNED UP FOR THE TERMS, SO LET'S BE MEN AND WOMEN ABOUT IT AND STOP POINTING THE FINGER!!! :cry
