I was laid off from my job in August. It was 6 weeks before I found another job. Naturally we got behind on some of our bills (including our
car loan with
Americredit) We have desperately tried to catch up. We are currently 1 month behind now. These other
horror stories really have me worried.
Americredit calls my home at least 8 - 10 times a day, even on Sundays, which really makes me mad. I finally told the lady I was tired of them calling, there was no need in 8 times a day. I have children who go to bed early. They have called as late as 9:00. I'm not trying to get by without paying, it is going to take us a little while to catch back up. Why can't they understand that?

They did that to me also, calling on Sundays, they can call 8AM-9PM any day Mon-Sun. I got 27 calls in one day... They can not call after 9PM or before 8 AM. I even was 100$ short because trying to fix the car and they didn't like that, so I told them to take the car, The Guy I talked to Hanged-up on me while I was telling him where the car was. Least I immediately E-mail them on line with a copy. They don't give a HOOT! about anyone that is loosing their job(s) and all.

Ameriacredit is the worst business I have ever delt with. Yes they call an extreame amout and my understanding, it's not legal for them to call after 8:00PM and on Sundays. All of their reps want all this verified information rather than try to give you information. I keep telling them if ANYONE wants to pay my bill, they have my permission. So it matters not who calls, if they want to pay a bill, be smart, let them.

Yes I agree they do call way to much, but during the time that I was unemployed they did work with me. They charge way to much intrest but for people with bad credit what do we expect. They did end up repoing my truck and it was like pulling teeth to get it back. All in all I hope they go under, all i have seen lately is them *** about only making so many millions this year...screw them...
