A few months ago I relocated (due to taking care of a dying grandmother) and was temporarily out of work.My wife contacted Americredit several times to let them know we'd be making payments monthly but wouldn't be able to make the total amount. We could get no "human" response from them but did start getting up to 16 recorded calls a day about being delinquent on payments. This went on for several months (5) and finally this week they reposed my van.Two days now and I can't get any contact from them. Great Humane Company!

ok seriously, i've read a bunch of posts looking for educated info about this company, and i'm finding nothing. If you call a lending company and tell them you are making payments but not the full amount, it doesn't do anything. You signed a contract that stated you would be making a payment for x amount for x months. The contract also states what happens if said payments aren't made on time or at all. If you make short payments you are still considered late. For example: you are to make $200/month. Let's say in March you can only pay 50 bucks. In April, you can only pay $75. In May, you pay $50. Those three numbers added together equal 175 so you haven't even fulfilled one monthly payment, making you 90 days late at the end of May. It doesn't matter why you can't pay.

think about this, the collection agency NCO sent back my charged off accout to AmeriCredit and now they want more money than NCO, interest charges, they say they will settle but i don't owe that much on the loan, how much interest do they charge anyways. Now what would you do? haven't been late on payments to the collection agency either. but they did harass me into a settlement that they lied about so they could get more money. they assured me that AmeriCredit would accept it.And they didn't I put a stop to.

5 MONTHS OF NOT PAYING YOUR BILL. DON'T BLAME THE PEOPLE THAT LOANED YOU THE MONEY. WHEN YOU BORROWED THEIR MONEY THEY DIND'T HIDE THE FACT THAT YOU WERE TO PAY EACH MONTH. DEAD BEATS COMPLAIN ABOUT COMPANIES THAT HOLD YOU TO YOUR WORD.
