I actually have a couple of complaints...

Two weeks ago I found out my mother was sick and I had to go to another state to be with her...

I made a couple of trips and it was costly... I called them BEFORE my payment was due because I knew I was going to be pressed to make the payment. I wanted to defer one payment to the end of the loan...I wasnt already late, I have never been late, ever... I just needed the buffer this month...

they said there were no options for me to do this. They could however make a note on my account of when I could make the payment... how is this good customer service?? I was trying to do the right thing....

My mother passed away a week ago.... I do not regret the time and money I spent with her in her final days. I will now be running 30 days behind until I can come up with the extra car payment, which may be 6 months.... I think this was pretty *** since I was trying to be proactive but now they are happy because I guess every month I am going to be charged a late payment...

they SUCK and I will never finance with them again nor will I ever recommend them to anyone.

My second complaint is that they are a major company with a decent website but the only way I can make an online payment is thru Money Gram? Seriously??? They must be getting some kind of kick back from Money Gram since it costs me $6 to make an online payment...again, this is just *** service!!!!

They should want your payment making experience EASY so you do it!!!!

Sorry about your mom.

The reason they wouldn't defer your payment was because you were not late/past due. For whatever reason you have to be past due in order to defer a payment.

Not sure how many days...probably could do it before you were 30 days past due. They won't report you as late to credit bureaus if it is under 30 days...at least they are not supposed to.

Me on the other hand, I've had them change my due date but I had to make my first payment before they would do so. *rolling eyes*

I lost my job in April and then just recently in January. Some of my payments were late b/c of my job loss in April...I think less than 60 days but can't really remember.

Now I'm rapidly approaching 75 days past due, have received an acceleration letter and am scared out of my mind that if I go to a job interview...they will repo it and it will be gone when I walk out. I talked to collections dept and advised can't pay until Jan 30th...I know he was doing his job (which is to drive to get the money) but I'm super scared to even leave my house and go on interviews.

It's only hard to have a car repossessed the first time...

I've had more than a few. I readily admit that I am a paycheck to paycheck, average, probably living above her means, consumer...however I have never EVER bought a car with the intentions of not paying the note. At the time, I can make the payments.

However because when you live your life from one paycheck to the next...if there is ANYTHING unexpected (illness, sick loved one, or ultimate: job loss) you're screwed. I've never been comfortable buying a car for cash b/c I've seen too many of my co-workers and family members spend more than my car notes on repair bills...for me: the car note is less expensive. I'm just absolutely horrible, admittedly, at managing my money. To most of y'all reading this, that makes me a deadbeat complainer.

Honestly, I'm not. But companies can't operate on my good intentions. I get that. I plan to do better once I get another job.

Just scared to leave the house and interview for fear of not having a way back home. So I'm praying...until I can pay (about $760 will pay everything but January) and then get a deferment for Jan Feb and hopefully March. I was able to use Google and find a powerpoint on the life of a loan for them. Evidently you can defer up to 8 payments over the life of a loan with them.

I've never deferred with them. We shall see.

I have almost the same problem we have a family member who is also sick and also in another state. Also called ahead to try to defer a payment we were also told the same thing our payments are always on time and to anger me further we are actually ahead more then the one payment on our principle on the loan because we always pay a little extra on or payments every month. to top it off we spoke to Norma our customer service rep who was rude and treated us badly for trying to ask questions to see what our options might be.
