AmeriCredit - Repossesed Car
They repoed my husbands car when the housing market fell and we could no longer make our payments because he had been let go at his job. Now almost 10 years later they have reported the car as income on our tax returns from 3 years ago.
Mind you it is 2015 and they just reported it to the irs that 2 years ago they dropped it off our credit and said the remaining balance on the car was earned income for us and we made a false report of earnings to the irs. So now we have to pay the irs for a car we haven't received any money for in any way shape or form! What ever you do DO NOT do business with Americredit!
If they can't make your life miserable while you have the car they will find a way to *** in the end. And yes it is perfectly legal for them to report the car as income on our taxes but its a pretty sneaky back handed thing to do especially after 10 years of not having this car and they resold the car and got the money for it not us.
